Sweet!

I want one!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
James Martens
Good day.
Loved the videos and everything - now I want to build one. /grin
One question, however - the projectile itself isn't spinning in the manner that a normal bullet would be due to the fact that there's no rifling
- I imagine this would affect accuracy a bit,as well as distance. Would it be possible to modify the field so it can spin the projectile to
imitate rifling in a standard gun?
<-- Not very up on the physics or programming, I'd imagine you'd need a separate timing/charging circuit for each section of the coil..
Interesting work, though. Would love to see more of it.

Wow. It looks like a mix of the russian gauss gun and the pistol of James Paul (coilgun.com)! You did a great job.

Nice Gun, I saw it on 4Hv.  At a glance, it looks like the HK Mark 23 Mod 0 with the LAM aparatus. It's a special forces gun commonly called
"Socom". I am also looking foward to those revolver plans you made :)

a kit for one of these i think would be utterly fascinating and i personally would love to purchase one. as for a fully assembled model, i
would not be so interested. i am highly interested in the inner workings of all firearms and this one has piqued my interest like none other,
a fully assembled model would detract from the intrest i think.

HI,  I saw your coilgun at the 4hv forum and was intrested in your microcontrollers.  Are you using a pic driver?  If so I would like to know
about your boards and schematics if possible.  I have just started programing pic drivers from my computer and am looking for a way to
make seperate boards for these kinds of projects.  Great job on your cg.

i'd love to be able to have some of the components, ie circut boards and such available to purchase, along with the switchign side of the
electronics, heck a whole kit would be nice too althoguh i'd like to see some things be variable so people can work with and tune thier own,
i'd probly make a case from fiberglass.
p.s, the lazer aimer is a nice touch, good job with all the hard work, my coil gun is much larger, but single stage and scr switched, any
suggestions for building a better one would be apreciated, i have little circut desighn knowledge

I would be very interested in aquiring a kit or ready-built example.  I think I would enjoy trying to improve upon the design.  I am about to
graduate in Physics so this would be in the realm of my interests.

Jonathan Webber
Hi, I'm from Brisbane, Australia, I would be interested in purchasing around 10 of your kits if they were ever made available.  Hope the
interest from everyone else makes it viable!   Cheers, Jonathan Webber

Hey man, I need something to do for a Graduation project for highschool.  This Gauss gun is the coolest thing ive ever seen.  Will you have
kits or parts lists any time soon ?  Maybe even with a detailed schematic so I don't mess something up ? I'm sure something like this will
definatley give me the "get out of jail free" card, if you know what I mean.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nick
I've read the whole page and your design is awesome. It reminds me of something I'd see in a cyberpunk movie :)
I'd love to see plans, or maybe even a kit plans available as soon as possible! Keep up the good work!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mark Ward
Do you sell a kit version with instructions?  Please can you send me a price including delivery to the UK for your different models.  I do not
need delivery until after September 22nd as I am moving house so I am prepared to wait if you are going to be making a next generation
gun. Thanks for your time.  Regards  Mark Ward

I'm very interested in your fully assembled gauss pistols, if you ever decide to make them. However, I am curious to know if the power of
the pistol can be increased any. Would a lighter projectile help? Also, have you done tests to see what it's range is?  Thank you.

It is people like you that bring happiness to my life!!! I most definately would love to purchase the kit form of this gun. If you know of any
other really cool kits I would love to hear about them. Keep me informed when you have some kits ready for sale.

Dave Camilleri
i was wondering what you would charge for one of these things assembled and where i could get the ammo for it. and i was directed here
from www.hackaday.com. thanks alot and i look forward to doing business with you
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tim
Interested to see how much it costs, built and to see if the kit is already pre-built so everything kinda snaps or screws together when it is
taken out of the box.  Hey, do you sell them already pre-built?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
High Voltage
I really think a lot of money could be made selling this item.
rifling would be sweet. what is the effective range on that thing?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeremy
This is rad, send me info on plans when available please.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
maxwell
Brilliant stuff! Never seen that before! Now, if only you could work some sexy design into the actual body of the gun...maybe some sci-fi
related design?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chris Wray
I would love to order a prebuilt kit or all the components to create this divice. Pleas email me with details and pricing after you have it
established.

thats a truly great design but i warn u that the military is also makin a similar rifle and they have already patented the technology becareful
u dun get sued or somethin, also by adding more coils or increasing the coil voltage this gun could become very very dangerous (thats why
the military has made a similar rifle :) which isnt bieng used yet) so i strongly recomment that u dun release the schematics for the gun.

Hi! I would like to know if you plan to build a rifle instead of a gun. Also, if you use  much more resistant coils and plug it directly into
common house power plugs, will the augmented amps cause the projectile to go faster/further?
Nice work!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robert Goodman
I love the idea of selling kits.  I personally would have a hard time finding parts in my neck of the woods.  I ready to go "solder and go" kit
would be pretty fun.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
jeremy
lol thats awesome.  it reminds me of the enforcer from unreal tournament though.  ;-) keep up the good work on shit like that
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
david
I have to say that this is pretty cool... Wouldn't it be incredible to collaborate on a project to make one huge gauss rifle? Escape velocity is
7 km/s. I would love to see a pellet go that fast.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyle
Keep up the work, I so want one. Just name the price, youve go me sold.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tom
I was wondering why you made it so complicated. It seems to me that getting rid of all the electronical stuff and just have a couple
batteries, barrel, wire coil, and trigger would make it work just as good. Bare in mind though that I don't know anything about that type of
stuff... It is really cool by the way!!!

hobby enthusiest, would like plans for the satisfaction and and inisituive and understading for posible alterations from my own experience,
will share and and all progress from projects such as this, as will others i am sure. thank you for your contribution so far. keep up the
outstanding work!!

Lukas Busch
Interesting. Especially the design, well built and thought out.  I would pay good money for one.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gauss guns have been around for a long time. What the military may be patenting is not necessarily the gauss gun technology, but some
optimizations to it that make the projectile go faster/further with less power. So I wouldnt worry about posssible patent infringements.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
k00zk0
So, in theory, you can have a barrel meters long with multiple coils to fire projectiles into outer space? :D
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
chris blumenberg
wic ked cool. think when you stat making some cash from this there might be the possibility of a larger version? maybe rifle sized with
battery in backpack?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Louis Lang
Hey,  this gun is AWSOME! I just found out what a gauss pistol is and have already started researching it further. About how much did your
gun cost to build? I may go out tommorow and purchase all the needed items to build it and continue with some experimenting :)

Hi,  Saw a write up on hackaday.com.  I need one of these.  When will the plans be printed.  This project covers three of my intrests:
building/constuction/fabrication, education/experiementation, and guns. This thing would be cooler to shoot at home.  It won't cost less to
shoot than current air pistols (cost of consumer grade lead pellets are cheap) or airsoft; but, the gauss pistol is far cheaper than any high
end air pistold and must less troublesome than real pistol (range time, gun rentals, cost of bullets).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
nICK
hey, i love the gauss pistol, i was wondering if you could sell kits to these things, not as a wepon, but as a nerdy novelty.try an EMP
cannon, i have old designs for one, never built one but looks bad ass, powered be 1 or 2 car battaries
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dan Brennan
Great job.  This is a pretty hot I was wondering how heavy that power block under the muzzle is.  Since that looks like all the batteries,
most of the capacitors, and a transformer, so I'd imagine it's pretty hefty.  Since I'm sure that would make it hard to aim accurately, it
might be better to balance that over the top of the gun, over the handle.  Maybe in later versions you could move the coils back too, that
way the majority of the weight would be over the wrist, making use a bit easier (kinda like the clip placement on the Calico M690).  Though
it definately looks alot cooler like it is now...

seems really interesting, if you do put together a kit part for sale deppending on the price i would definetaly be intersted. Keep up the
good work

Scott Knauert
I'd seriously be interested in plans, parts, or a full kit. Just name the price and I'll buy. I've been into coil guns awhile now, and always ran
into problems making something impressive enough that was portable. Great job! I bet with some minor modifications (like enhancing the
flux, using square magnetic wire, or better capacitors) you could get the velocity from 115 to 200 ft per second.

Mikezila
A kit for building one of these would be awesome.  Just plans wouldn't be of any use to me, (I live in the boondocks) but a kit that had
everything ready to be put together has my name all over it.  I would buy two.  It looks pretty heavy, but I bet I could hold two at once.
Wonder if they'll license you to carry one of those?  Hrm....

As a senior in electronics engineering, this type of project really interests me.  We currently have plans to construct a much larger version of
a coil gun this year as a class project. The gun itself looks great.  The styling is rather fearsome if you didn't know it was a low power gun.
I would be interested in purchasing a kit if one were available.
